Environmental Wellbeing

Looking after our natural environment while on lockdown – Being good kaitiaki (guardians).

Kaitiakitanga means guardianship and protection. It is a way of managing the environment, based on the Māori world view. A kaitiaki is a guardian. Kaitiakitanga is based on the idea of humans as part of the natural world, and that there is a relationship between the two. All life is connected.
